Bloggin' Fool

Before I go to sleep I need to talk about something more frilly, light, cheerful. I was taking a nice long walk with my sister the other day (yeah me for walking!)and some kids she was babysitting (they are figgin' adorable!) and we stopped by the library. First of all I must say that the library has been one of my favorite places in the world ever since I was little. I love books. I love to read.

I went to the library with a purpose. To get a book about love that I have checked out in the past. I love this book. It has love stories, essays, poems, letters to lovers and more. Love the love book. Haha. I plan on using it to help me write my vows. Inspiration. So tonight I share with you a few of my favorite excerpts/entries. Mind you these are just some of the many, many, MANY that I love.

Fountain-heads and pathless groves,
Places which pale passion loves,
Moonlight walks, when all the fowls
Are safely housed, save bats and owls,
A midnight bell, a passing groan,-
These are the sounds we feed upon.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

First Love
I ne'er was struck before that hour
With a love so sudden and so sweet,
Her face it bloomed like a sweet flower
and stole my heart away complete.

My face turned pale as deadly pale,
My legs refused to walk away,
And when she looked, what could I ail?
My life and all seemed turned to clay.

And then my blood rushed to my face
And took my eyesight quite away,
The trees and bushes round the place
Seemed midnight at noonday.
I could not see a single thing,
Words from my eyes did start-
They spoke as chords do from the string,
And blood burnt round my heart.

Are flowers the winter's choice?
Is love's bed always snow?
She seemed to hear my silent voice,
Not love's appeals to know.
I never saw so sweet a face
As that I stood before.
My heart has left its dwelling-place
And can return no more.
-John Clare

Give me a kiss, and to that kiss a score;
Then to that twenty, add a hundred more:
A thousand to that hundred: so kiss on,
To make that thousand up a million.
Treble that million, and when that is done,
Let's kiss afresh, as when we first begun.
-Robert Herrick (1591–1674) from "To Anthea"

I absolutley love this last one. It's been my favorite for a long time. I'm gonna go kiss my honey. Goodnight everyone!
